15 dollars a day. No this is not a World Vision commercial and that is not the price per month for supporting a child–that is the cost of internet at my hotel. Wow. Steep price for wireless fidelity. And (not that I have yet to use the phone–or plan on having need in the future) I also noticed that local calls cost you one dollar as well. Crazy! So, taking the 15 dollar a day internet fee into consideration, is this the most expensive blog post I have ever posted? No, for I am resourceful and full of scheming and trickery and just plain deviousness; and I have managed to siphon some wi-fi off an unprotected source from around the hotel which I am now using to blog. Crafty. Like a fox.
Just am wanting to say “hi!” from the deep south where, for some reason, I am the coolest thing going. It seems the farther south us Canadians go, the more of an accent we get and the more interesting we become. I have had no less than ten people tell me the love my accent. Ten–as in the number of digits on your hands. Ten. And all that in just over twenty-four hours.
“Ohhh your accent, I love it!” they exclaim. “Where y’all from?” To which I respond by blushing furiously before saying,
“Oh, just from Canada,” sounding as nonchalant as possible. Being so cool has never been so easy. People actually wanted to touch me because I am from Canada. Crazy!
Other then the sweet weather down here, there is so much to see and do, I have little time for anything other than a quick hello! and an even quicker goodbye!
I will not leave you in a lurch, however and I will at least post a couple of the most completely random pictures ever.

And now, time for the pièce de résistance–palm trees!
